HIGHLANDS strongmen brothers Luke and Tom Stoltman challenged each other to see who could eat a giant new cone named in their honor the fastest.
The Stoltman is the brainchild of Richard Simpson, owner of Simpsons Ice Cream in Buckie who supplies Castle Cones in the High Street in Inverness.
With each mighty creation containing five scoops of ice cream, Luke was crowned ‘cone king’ after demolishing his own in an impressive six minutes and 31 seconds while Tom took a bit longer, taking eight minutes and 47 seconds to complete. finish his.
The brothers have now issued a challenge to see if someone else can handle it faster.
Mr Simpson said: ‘We had a competition to choose the name and it coincided with Tom Stoltman winning the title of world’s strongest man, and a few people had suggested ‘The Stoltman’, he therefore made perfect sense for me to name it after them.
“I contacted them to ask if we could use their name and they seemed delighted, then decided to come and take on the challenge.
“It must have given them a headache to eat it so quickly – my son tried it yesterday and it took him 30 minutes to finish it!
“These guys are doing great, they’re local guys and they’re performing globally.
“I’m a huge strongman fan myself, so it made perfect sense for me to promote them.
“You get a lot of visitors from all over the world in the shop and it would be nice for them to see a little something interesting.”
After a series of brain-freezing moments, Luke said, “If you want to come and challenge yourself, come to Castle Cones and see if anyone can beat our time. “
He added: “I don’t think anyone can do it! But if someone beats me, I will congratulate you personally.
