A town in Easter Ross will celebrate the worldwide success of strong siblings Luke and Tom Stoltman at a street party today.

Tom has won the World’s Strongest Man title twice in a row while his big brother also has a string of titles to his name.

The brothers feature on specially designed welcome signs at the entrances to Invergordon and have frequently spoken of their desire to create a legacy for the area and inspire others to follow their dreams. They also support good causes.

A parade down the high street on Saturday is set to start around noon with plans for a show of force for all to enjoy.

The brothers have agreed to judge an art competition at the Invergordon museum around 1.30pm and some children are expected to gather in ‘strongman’ fancy dress for another competition around 2pm.

Around 2.30pm local singing sensation Rhoehaisse Clark is set to perform and there are also plans to have a fun tug of war at 3pm before the organizers’ final words around 3.45pm.

Luke and Tom have been hailed as “inspiring heroes” by South Lodge Primary School Principal David Hayes-MacLeod, who has hosted their visits to the school on several occasions.

He said: “We want everyone to come out and show these two guys how proud their hometown and their friends are of them.”
