History Hall And Photographic Display

A permanent History Hall comprising of items of memorabilia and a photographic display of the area, from pre-closer settlement years through the 1961 – 1966 block allocation years until present times has been created in the vacant hall (old Guide Hall) at the Invergordon Recreation Reserve.

The Invergordon History Hall was first opened to the public during the weekend of the 50 Year Closer Settlement celebrations, Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd of October 2011.

The Invergordon History Hall was officially opened on Sunday 23rd October 2011, at 2:30pm by the Honourable Tim McCurdy M.L.A.

After the 50 Years of Closer Settlement celebrations were completed an group of past and current residents of Invergordon created a Committee to oversee the continuing running of the History Hall. It was decided the History Hall would open on the third Sunday of each month commencing January 2012 from 1:30pm until 3:30pm.

In December 2014, the Committee met to revise the opening days and times of the History Hall. It was decided the History Hall would open quarterly commencing February 2015.
